Why is it that whenever Oklahoman's are featured in national programs it's always in the worst possible light?

The media spotlight shines too brightly on all the lunatics. Our state seems destined always to forego the good Barbara Walters lighting with soft focus lens. Them’s the breaks, my friend. Nothing can be done about it.
I know. I saw a news report once about Oklahoma City while I was in Las Vegas on vacation. There was some major flooding in the city and apparently the only person they could find to interview was a toothless white trash hillbilly redneck who could barely speak english! The best part of the piece was the footage of her kids swimming in the flood rains on May Avenue!
